Like many people I’ve ummed and arred over one of these. Will it be another expensive ornament eventually destined for the car boot sale or loft. The answer is a resounding NO! Yes the T Discs are a little more expensive (the most is about 50pence a drink) than instant coffee/chocolate/latte/creme/cappucino/tea/tiramisu flavour/creme brulee……the list goes on. But be honest…instant coffee ? No such thing (till now). That soluble rubbish we all drink is just that, and it tastes awful too. All the drinks I’ve had so far I’ve enjoyed, even the family, who aren’t as enthusiastic as I am over coffee like it. And with a little imagination, like using your own hot milk with espresso T discs, the morning drink will never be the same again. The Latte’s look fab (glass cups). I can’t praise this machine enough. And it takes no effort to clean. just a quick wipe with a kitchen towel over the dispenser tip and your done. My old machine, a “real” coffee maker is now gathering dust. Although it made great coffee, it took too long, was too difficult to clean and just took up too much space. This does it all in about a minute (at the worst). A couple of pals have bought the cheaper TA 40 but go for this one. It has the water filter, an illuminated cup stand and the LCD display means if you can read you can work it. It’s as difficult as “put in the disc and press the button” The only difficulty you will have is deciding what to drink! Bloomin Brilliant !! (if you like your coffee scalding hot, and I know some do, pop the completed drink in the microwave for a minute, it’ll be roasting hot) And no I don’t work for Tassimo. PS. When you register your machine you get a £20 voucher to spend on line on the drinks. This model is currently on sale for about £100, cheaper than the lesser model ! and about £40 cheaper than [...] or the [...] website.

Did My Tassimo Pod Holder Save My Sanity?
If you have a Tassimo pod holder then you will already know how useful they are?
But if you are like me and did not get a Tassimo pod holder when purchasing the Tassimo coffee maker then you will probably know what I am talking about here…
I struggled for almost a year without a Tassimo pod holder and it was a real pain and very stressful too. We used to store the Tassimo coffee pods in one of the kitchen drawers. That was not a wise move!
I reckon now is the time to give you a bit of history and explain what I’m talking about here?
My partner likes Cappucino coffee and so do I. I reckon we go through at least 4 or 5 pods a day during the working week and a lot more over the weekends. We always “presume” that we have enough coffee pods in the kitchen drawer.

Our New Tassimo Pod Holder Averted A Major Crisis
Yea, you guessed it… invariably we had plenty of other Tassimo coffee pods except for our favorite – the Cappucino coffee had been all used up! Panic…
This is so annoying – imagine, you are all geared up to enjoy a hot steaming mug of your favorite coffee and then find out that you don’t have any coffee!
That is a BIG disappointment, let me tell you!
Eventually, after too many arguments (my partner accusing me of not buying enough coffee and me saying the same thing!) we eventually decided that we had to be more efficient and I bought a Tassimo pod holder.
What an improvement! I wish we had done this months ago.
We’ve found having a Tassimo pod holder really great – in fact, we ended up buying two so we have plenty of storage place for our wide range of Tassimo coffee pods. We have the Tassimo pod holder on our kitchen counter top so we can easily see when our stocks of Tassimo coffee pods are going down and we need to restock. It all equals much less stress… 
If you are looking at getting yourself a Tassimo coffee maker then do yourself (and your partner) a favor and also get a Tassimo pod holder at the same time. I highly recommend this for the sake of peace and quiet and efficiency. I reckon you can start with one Tassimo pod holder and if you find it helpful then get another later if necessary.
There are plenty of great designs with different storage capacity. We went for the standard rotating Tassimo pod holder which stores 48 Tassimo coffee pods.

More Information On Tassimo Coffee Pods:
- Tassimo coffee pods will fit any of the Tassimo coffee makers which includes the Bosch Tassimo coffee maker or Braun
machines. (However, the larger milk discs are not meant to be used in Tassimo coffee machines.) - Tassimo coffee pods do not have to be stored in the fridge. Cool dry storage is advised. If you have opened the external packaging then I recommend you use your T Disc within 6 weeks. Meanwhile, if you love coffee then I don’t see you having a problem drinking your delicious Tassimo coffee beverages within this period!
- Tassimo coffee pods cannot be reused. After you have brewed a drink then you need to throw your used Tassimo coffee pods into your recycling container for collection by Terracycling (please see above).
- There is no need to clean your Tassimo coffee maker before changing to a different flavoured drink e.g. you can make a cup of tea immediately after brewing a cup of expresso coffee in your Tassimo coffee maker. This is because each Tassimo T Discs are sealed and do not contaminate any part of the coffee machine.

Luckily got this coffee/tea/chocolate machine for £79.95 with free shipping, at the time it was £10.00 cheaper than Tesco Direct. The machine is quality built and really presents you with a superb drink of your choice and in double quick time too. Easy to keep clean and to use. Some would probably think that drinks made this way are expensive, I do think they would have a point. However, if it’s a good tasting drink made quickly and without fuss you are looking for then this is for you. Do take the cost of the ‘discs’ (obtainable at any big supermarket…Asda/Tesco’s etc)into consideration before you take the plunge. Overall, a nice item of ‘luxury’. |

There is very promising evidence that drinking 5 cups of coffee reverses Alzheimers memory problems.
This is an interesting report from US scientists in which they say caffeine hampers the protein plaques found in Alzheimers sufferers.
The evidence also suggests that caffeine might actually protect against Alzheimers developing in non-sufferers.
Up until now, scientists thought that Alzheimer sufferers could not reverse memory damage from the disease. However, the report suggests that this is not true – there is a certain amount of memory recovery when those with Alzheimers drink at least 5 cups of coffee a day.

Caffeine is, most importantly, a very safe drug for people to take - it enters the brain quickly and the effects of caffeine consumption is quickly felt.
